Abraham lived several years in the land of the Philistines until Isaac was a teenager. GOD spoke to Abraham and gave him the most demanding test ever made. GOD told Abraham to take Isaac and sacrifice him for a burnt offering in a place where GOD would show him. When I think about taking one of my sons and killing him as a sacrifice to God, I couldn’t live long enough to gain that much faith. It’s no wonder Abraham was called the man of faith and GOD counted it for righteousness.
