Council OKs 1-time contribution to the Forney Food Pantry

At Tuesday night’s City Council meeting, Council members OKd a one-time contribution to the Forney Food Pantry to cover the cost of a box truck and pallet jack—items which had been discussed during a workshop prior to the last City Council meeting. City Manager Brian Brooks explained what the city staff had looked into regarding the proposed contribution. He said staff had recommended making a one-time contribution of needed items which will help the food pantry operate more efficiently.
