Eddie Joe Creecy

Wonder ful husband, father, brother, uncle and grandpa (Gee Gee). Born July 9, 1940 in Visalia, California. Died February 17, 2014, in Mesquite, Texas. Even though Eddie was born in California, he called Texas his home. He had many friends along the way including the nurses in the Doctor’s Hospital critical care unit and the other patients in Mesquite Rehabilitation Institute. Many of his old friends remember him as “greaser” from his days as an air conditioning repairman. The name that most made him happy to be called was Gee Gee. He loved his grandchildren more than anything in the world. He would tell everyone that his granddaughter, Gabby, was the reason he was working so hard to get out of the hospital and the rehab center. She was the light of his life. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Williams and Hattie Creecy, brother Donald Creecy and sister Debbie Creecy. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Yvonne Creecy. Children Wayland Creecy and wife Tonya, and daughter Stacy Salinas. Granddaughters Gabriela Salinas and D’Anna Graham and husband Steven and grandson Michael Creecy. Two great grandkids, Brother Darrell Creecy and wife Lora, Sisters Barbara Cross and husband Charles, Susan Stinson and husband Buddy, and Vicky Ferguson and husband David, also many nieces and nephews.
