From Vienna we took the train across the Austrian countryside to the city of Salzburg. Along the way, whenever we would get to a town we would see acres of land that were broken up into gardens about the size of an average home lot in Forney. None of the gardens had a house but almost all of them had a shed. We saw a lot of them from the train though the Czech Republic and, since we had WIFI on the train, Lori decided to google it. It turns out that when Czechoslovakia was part of the Austrio-Hungarian Empire food sometimes became scarce.
