A lawyer for Eric Lyle Williams, who was convicted in December of the murder of Cynthia McLelland of Forney, is seeking a new trial for his client, according to reports by KTVT-TV (Channel 11) and the Terrell Tribune. John Wright, Williams’ attorney, said that tests conducted this month at the Texas Medical Branch in Galveston found signs of damage to Williams’ brain.
