The flood is over and the earth has dried and Noah and his family with all the animals have left the ark. Noah had built an altar and sacrificed animals and birds from the clean ones, (seven pairs each was on the ark). GOD told Noah and his family to multiply on the earth and that all animals, birds and fish would be food for them. I believe before the flood, animals and birds were not eaten by mankind or by other animals or birds. One thought along this line is, green foliage grew in great abundance before the flood, but most of it was destroyed by the flood. Many changes were made when GOD started the human race over again. People’s lives were shortened along with those of the animals and birds. GOD made a covenant with Noah and all living creatures that He would never again bring a flood on the earth to destroy all life. GOD set His bow (rainbow) in the clouds to remind Him and us of that promise.
