Testimony focuses on Hasse slaying; jurors see arsenal

This week begins the penalty phase of the trial of Eric Williams after his conviction for capitol murder last Thursday after just two and a half days of testimony, a little over a half a day of closing arguments, and only an hour and a half of jury deliberation. This first trial is only for the murder of Cynthia McLelland and not for the murder of her husband, Kaufman County Criminal District Attorney, Mike McLelland or for the murder of Assistant Criminal District Attorney Mark Hasse, although he is the prime suspect in all three murders.
