Richard D. “Don” Harris

Richard D. “Don” Harris went to be with his Lord August 8, 2015, with family and friends at his side. He  was born December 28, 1935. He is survived by one daughter, Andrea Shawn  Moore & husband, David; three grandchildren,  Hubert “C J” White, IV,  Gavin White, and M’Cleigh White. He was preceded  in death by his loving wife, Carolyn and one son, John.  He was also preceded by parents, Lester and Estelle  Harris of Rising Star, TX. He is survived by one  brother, Lester “Buster” and wife, Sandra; one sister,  Sue & husband, Donnie Rhodes; three nieces  and nephews. Don spent almost 50 years in banking, owning four different banks, the most recent was Farmers National Bank in Forney, which he sold and retired June 30, 2001. Don enjoyed driving and showing his automobile and antique collection. He enjoyed the old traditional country music. Visitation was from 5:00PM - 7:00PM Monday at New Hope Funeral Home. Service were held at 10:00AM Tuesday August 11, 2015 at New Hope Funeral Home. Intermentwill be at Laurel Land of Dallas.
