Forney City Council names James Fisher as City Manager

FORNEY, TX—The Forney City Council voted to appoint James Fisher as the new City Manager of Forney at the July 27 special meeting. Fisher had previously served as the City Manager in Murphy, Texas until March 2016 and has more than 27 years experience in municipal government. Mayor Rick Wilson and the City Council were unified in conveying the qualities the new Forney City Manger must possess to Keller-based Strategic Government Relations (SGR), who performed the search.
