Council holds first July meeting

The City Council held its first meeting of July Tuesday night, July 7, with all Council members present except Scott Regan, who was on vacation, and Mayor Rick Wilson, who was absent due to a family matter. Mayor Pro Tem Darrell Hobbs called the meeting to order at about 6:30 p. m. He also gave the invocation and  led the Pledge of Allegiance. Under “Proclamationsand Presentations,” the  Council recognized the Park and Recreation department because July is Park and Recreation Month. The  Council also presented the department employees with a proclamation designating July as Park and Recreation Month in the city of Forney.
