Vincent “Vinnie” E. Bowman Jr.

Vincent “Vinnie” E. Bowman Jr, 56 years old, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on May 14th 2015. Married over 30 years, Vinnie is survived by his loving wife Patty Bowman and their three boys Ryan, Kevin, and Andrew. Also his parents Vincent Sr. and Rouchelle Bowman, sister Natalie and brother Randy; along with daughter in-law Chris Bowman, and 3 nieces and 2 nephews. Vinnie was a family man in all aspects of the phrase, including being an active member in First Baptist Church in Forney, Texas and inspirational presence in his community. Becoming a Forney, Texas resident in 1993, Vinnie worked as an elevator mechanic for 31 years and spent his free time passionately involved in sports and spending time with his loved ones. He played many sports and coached the Lions Club Little League and the Side- Obituaries kicks boys soccer team. Many of those in his life knew him as a soccer coach. Coach; to teach, train, and direct; and Vinnie did just that. He coached his family every day and guided them with a loving hand to fulfill their dreams, overcome challenges, and follow the Lord. Those touched by Vinnie will forever be changed, changed by a man that fought for the underdog, and stood for strength with the most kind and humble spirit. His family and friends will continue tokeep his memory strong. A scholarship fund is being established in his name at City Bank Forney. Checks given should be marked “Scholarship”, funds will be distributed to the graduating seniors that par ticipated in the FHS soccer program that are attending college after graduation.
