Forney Police Chief Rick Barnes recalls 37 years of service

Rick Barnes, who has served the City of Forney as a law enforcement officer for 37 years—29 of them as Chief of Police—will retire at the end of October. In an interview with the Forney Messenger Monday, Chief Barnes looked back over his career, noting the changes he’s seen since he became a Forney police officer in the spring of 1979.
