City selects new Assistant City Manager, Public Works Director

FORNEY, TX—Forney City Manager James Fisher is excited to announce that he has filled two key positions on his executive staff. Wendle Medford and Ron Sullivan have both been offered and accepted the positions of Assistant City Manager and Public Works Director, respectively.

Mr. Medford joins the staff at the City of Forney from the City of Murphy, where he had previously served as the Director of Innovation and Technology since 2010. Mr. Medford has also spent a number of years at both the City of Dallas and City of Hurst and has a combined 15 years in a municipal government leadership position. A United States Air Force veteran, Mr. Medford holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from LeTourneau University and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. He has completed requirements for a Texas Certified Public Manager designation from the William P. Hobby Center for Public Service from Texas State University. Mr. Medford also holds certifications as a Government Chief Information Officer from the University of North Carolina and Public Budgeting and Financial Management from the University of Texas at Arlington.
