New softball coach comes to FHS with winning record

Forney ISD may have made a very shrewd move when the district hired Pat Eitel, a softball coach from Hallsville, to become head softball coach at Forney High School beginning with the coming school year. As a softball coach at Hallsville, Eitel posted an 11-year win-tie-loss record of 316-79-8. Last year, Hallsville varsity softball came up two games short of winning a state championship.
