Jackson hired as NFHS’ new athletic director/head football coach

He comes to Forney from Grapevine to replace Lance Gary, who recently stepped down

FORNEY, Texas—The Forney ISD Board of Trustees approved a new Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach for North Forney High School during the February monthly board meeting held on Monday, Feb. 6, 2017. Randy Jackson, currently the Head Football Coach at Grapevine High School in the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District was approved by the board as North Forney High School’s new Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach. Jackson replaces Lance Gary who recently announced that he was stepping down from his position as Head Coach and Athletic Coordinator at the school.

Jackson has 17 years of experience as a Head Football Coach and has amassed a record of 140 wins and 62 losses including a record of 20-13 in the state playoffs. He has served as the Head Football Coach at Grapevine High School since 2014 where he has led the Mustangs to an overall record of 21-11. Jackson took over a team at Grapevine High School that won a total of three games in 2013 and in two seasons turned the program around finishing the 2016 season with a 10-2 record.
