Four Falcon powerlifters compete well at regional meet

LINDALE—On Saturday, March 4, four North Forney Falcon power lifters competed well at the Region III Boys Power Lifting Meet.

Here are the four young men who competed for North Forney at the Regional Power Lifting Meet. (Note: To qualify for the State Meet, a lifter must finish in the top 2 of his weight class at the Regional Meet or he must lift a predetermined overall total amount at the Regional Meet.)

• Junior Devin Beamon finished 5th in the Super Heavy Weight Class. Overall, he lifted a grand total of 1,515 lbs. (675 Squat, 320 Bench Press, and 520 Dead Lift). Mr. Beamon came oh so close to qualifying to the State Meet.

• Junior Calvin Ribera finished 4th in the 181 lb. class. He lifted a grand total of 1,265 lbs. (510 Squat, 235 Bench Press, and 520 Dead Lift)
