Frances Branch Coker

Frances Branch Coker, age 92, of Dallas, TX was welcomed into God’s Heavenly Kingdom on July 9, 2015. Frances was born to the late Mr. Bruce B. Moore and late Mrs. Flossie Pitts Moore on March 24, 1923. Frances married Mr. James Garfield Branch on September 11, 1941 and after 50 years of marriage he preceded her in death on October 29, 1991. On January 14, 1993, Frances was blessed a second time when she married Mr. Thomas Coker. Together they shared nine years together until his death on February 13, 2002. Frances loved life and her personality was full of adventure and she was well liked by everyone that met her. She was a devout Christian and she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior as a child. She loved vacationing with her family, and every chance she had to get out of the house, she was ready and willing to go on her next adventure. Frances worked for 30 plus years for Southwestern Bell in advertising and she was a committed member of the Southwestern Bell Pioneers. Frances is survived by two daughters, Donna Hervey and husband John of Forney, TX and Barbara Ann Dalton of Rowlett, TX; three step-sons, Tom Coker of Ir ving, TX, Terry Coker and wife Stephanie of Garland, TX, and Tim Coker and wife Lynn of Grand Prairie, TX; one sister, Wilma Warren and husband Dwayne of Rockwall, TX; four grandchildren, Kathy Ann King and husband Johnny of Rowlett, TX, Vickie Trent and husband Roger of Rowlett, TX, Toni McKinnon and husband Tommy of Mesquite, TX, and Christi Hanson and husband Dewayne of Kemp, TX; seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one son-in-law, David Rousseau of Mabank, TX; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Moore of Cocoa Beach, FL; and numerous loving and caring nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil Moore and Robbie Moore; and one daughter, Diana Lynn Rousseau. Funeral services for Mrs. Coker will be on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, TX with Pastor Dickson Rial officiating. Serving as Pallbearers will be Tommy Coker, Tim Coker, Terry Coker, Tommy McKinnon, Zack McKinnon, and Dewayne Hanson. Serving as Honorary Pallbearer will be Dwayne Warren. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
