Forney ISD receives upgrade in credit rating

FORNEY, Texas— The Forney Independent School District recently received notice that the District’s financial rating had been upgraded by Standard and Poor’s from BBB+ to A-. The upgrade in the credit rating will save the District substantial money in regards to future debt transactions and provide a significant boost to the District as it impacts interest rates the District must pay when borrowing or refinancing money.
