Council OKs bond refinancing

The June 2 regular City Council meeting was called to order at approximately 6:30 p. m. by Mayor Rick Wilson. Council members Darrell Hobbs and Scott Regan were not present. Council member Mary Penn led the invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance. Under “Proclamations and Presentations,” Don Themer, president of the board of the Ellen Brooks West memorial Library, made a presentation concerning the proposed new logo for the library and recognized the current Library Board members and reviewed the library’s offerings. He explained how the city and school district have worked together since the library became a joint library.
