The Republicans of Kaufman County hosted U. S. Senator Ted Cruz, who made an appearance at a church in Terrell Saturday afternoon, Jan. 11. Cruz, who identifies himself with the Tea Party, the Republicans’ most conservative wing, spoke to a room filled mostly with fellow conservatives from Forney, Terrell, Kaufman and other areas within the county. Admission was free but was limited to the first 500 who could get through the door leading to the large auditorium at First Assembly of God Church.
