Blue Bell Day - I can hardly weight

In an age when there are no clear winners and losers and everybody gets a trophy, Forney was just dealt a clear and devastating blow from the most unlikely of places. This week it was announced that Blue Bell ice cream would return to Texas by the end of the month. But not for Forney. In the announcement, Blue Bell said the delicious frozen confection would be in stores in Brenham, Houston and the Weird City of Austin. North Texas, they said, was relegated to what they called Tier 2. Even more alarming, they said they didn’t know when the most adored ice cream in Texas would appear on shelves here in Forney. As I was pondering when we could possibly see our beloved Blue Bell on store shelves, I remembered one of the ancient commercials. I’m talking way back in the last millennium, way back before iPhones. Embedded in the message was a hint about what would happen in this very situation. Here is the text of that nostalgic commercial: “There’s nothing like the taste of Blue Bell Ice Cream It’s nothing like any other taste you’ve ever known.
