It was New Year’s Eve 1967 and I was eleven years old going on twelve. In the Billboard top 100 songs were some of my favorites to this day, “Brown Eyed Girl” by Van Morrison, “I’m a Believer” by the Monkeys, and ”Light My Fire” by the Doors. The Dallas Cowboys had only been in existence for seven years and had posted their second winning season in a row, in their entire history.
