Laymen’s Corner

This column is continued from last week, July 9, 2015. Last week we wrote about the works that Christians do while living on this earth after their salvation into eternal life. Six different works are listed in the Bible that Christians do in building on the foundation of Jesus Christ and His finished work while He lived on the earth. The six works listed are GOLD, SILVER, and PRECIOUS STONES. These three are spiritual and will survive the fire that will try all of Christian works. These were explained last week, so this week we will examine the last three which are of the earth and will not survive the fire, although some of them are good by earth standards.
