“Unity Bowl” honors 1965 Undefeated Regional Champion Jackrabbit Football Team

At approximately 7:00 p. m. on Friday, November 4, the announcer at City Bank Stadium introduced the 1965 Jackrabbit Team Members as they were escorted onto the field by Falcon/Jackrabbit Cheerleaders and family/friends to applause from fans in the stands. Greeting the team were City of Forney and Forney ISD officials, School Board Members, Regional Director of the FCA, Forney Athletic Director, and Forney’s Mayor as the announcer “told the story” of that amazing Regional Championship season, as has been recounted in previous articles.
