1965 Jackrabbit Football Team 11/4/2016 Unity Bowl “Honor Team”

Bob Pinson, a senior member of this team, and I were talking last week and reminisced about how important—yet usually underappreciated—the managers of this and all Jackrabbit football teams were. Dicky Harvey, Robert Parsons, and Robert Termin (Jackrabbit Annual photo) helped players on and off with shoulder pads, taped and wrapped injuries, washed uniforms, cleaned and “lined up” the locker room, loaded and unloaded busses, carried water and first aid onto the practice and playing fields, acted as “gophers” for the coaches, yelled and cheered and even helped coach a little at times, watered and mowed and lined the fields, repaired equipment, and probably did many other things we all took for granted!
