Billy Frank Nix, Sr., passed away Tuesday, Februar y 9, 2016 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Billy was born February 8, 1934, in Greenville, Texas, the son of Lawrence Nix and Mary Francis Swindell Nix. He was raised in Rowlett and graduated from Garland High School. On August 28, 1954, he married Sylvia Loretta Mitchell in Mesquite. Billy was self-employed in Obituaries the Dallas area as a carpet layer. He lived in Dallas prior to moving to Forney in 1979. He was a member of St. Martin of Tours in Talty. Preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mary Francis Nix; stepmother, Mar y Nix; two brothers, Bobby Nix and Gerald Nix and a son, Bobby Jordan. Billy is survived by his wife, Sylvia Nix, of Forney; three sons, Johnny Mitchell & wife, Debra Forsythe Mitchell, of Wills Point, Billy Nix, Jr. & wife, Nancy, of Heath and Tim Nix & wife, RaKay, of Forney; two brothers, Sonny Nix & wife, Vicky, of Rockwall and Kenneth Nix & wife, Kelly, of Rockwall; six grandchildren, Jason Mitchell, Tina Mitchell, Chad Jordan, Shawn Mitchell, Nicolas Nix and Rene Mitchell; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
