“Toby” Drake

ALBA – A Celebraton of Life service for Ollie William “Toby” Drake, 52, of Forney, was held Sunday, November 2, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Rockwall and Brin Church of Christ in Terrell. The service was conducted by his family. The eulogy was by Dr. Jim Russell, his three sons shared memories, and the message was by Regan Walters. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wilson- Bartley Funeral Home, Alba. Mr. Drake passed away Friday, October 31, 2014, in a Dallas hospital. He was born February 19, 1962, in Greenville, to Ollie Vernon and Dolores Jean Hinton Drake. He spent his early years in Lenard and Daingerfield. He married Leona Dawn Lennon December 22, 1984, in Mineola. He taught school 6 years in Hillsboro, 6 years in Whitney, 5 years in Hughes Springs, one year in Edgewood, and 8 years in Terrell. He was preceded in death by his father, and son, Kaleb. He is survived by his wife, Dawn Drake, Forney; mother, Dolores Drake, Tyler; sons, Kevin William Drake, Dallas, Quinncy Dale Drake, Edmond, OK, Colten Sean Drake, Forney; brother, James Walter Drake and wife Tracy, Tyler; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roger and Mary Virginia Lennon, Mineola; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Leah Lennon Russell and husband Dr. William “Jim” Russell, Navasota; nephew, Dr. Derek Russell and wife Rachel, Hoover, AL; nieces, Krista Russell Cone and husband Alex, Brooklyn, NY, and Courtney Dawn Russell, Navasota; and 6 great nieces.
