Winter isn’t over quite yet!

Photos taken Monday morning show a portion of FM 740 South near FM 548 as a ribbon of ice in both directions. Although rising temperatures evaporated Monday’s sleet and ice from local roadways by mid-afternoon, the ice storm of Feb. 23 closed Forney schools and kept many motorists off the roads much of the day. FISD also cancelled classes Tuesday. Although a storm that brought snow mixed with rain or sleet Wednesday morning, classes resumed Wednesday. Another winter winter event is predicted for Friday
