Drought: The weather’s cooler, but we’re still far below the amount of rain we need

Fall officially returned to our part of Texas Monday. Sometime around 9:22 a. m. our time, the earth reached the point in its orbit after which the nights will grow longer than the days in the northern hemisphere. That point is called the autumnal equinox.
