When Creation was finished, the first man and woman lived in a beautiful garden with every kind of fruit-bearing tree. They were told to eat from every tree in the garden except one, which was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The evil one came and tempted them and they did eat from that tree. At the moment they ate that fruit, a fatal epidemic came on them and was passed from them to all the world. Since that day, every person born on the earth has received the plague called sin, (SPIRITUALLY IGNORANT NOTIONS).
