Forney ISD serves as the host for 24 high school softball teams to play in a varsity softball invitational tournament from February 13-15, 2014 at the Forney Community Park Softball Complex. Softball Booster Clubs from both FHS and NFHS are the tournament organizers, and this year have chosen a charitable cause: Love for Laurren. Laurren Smith would have been a senior this year and was a dear friend to many of the FISD softball players. All FISD players will be wearing pink headbands (shown above) in her honor.
