Council grants alcohol variance for Eno’s in downtown Forney

The Forney City Council held two public hearings Tuesday evening, March 7. They held their first regular meeting of March with all Council members present.
PUBLIC HEARING
NO. 2
After Mayor Rick Wilson opened the first public hearing, Community Development Director Peter Morgan began the discussion concerning the requirements for a variance for the sale and on-premise consumption of alcohol as requested by Eno’s Pizza Tavern, which plans to put in a restaurant at 215 S. Bois d’Arc. Their request is to operate a full-service restaurant with on-premise consumption of alcoholic beverages under a Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission permit. Morgan said the reason a variance is required is due to the property’s proximity to the Forney ISD Academic Center, which is located at 309 S. Bois d’Arc.
