During a very short meeting that opened 2014, the Forney City Council conducted a public hearing to consider a request for a conditional use permit (CUP) for a private club that serves alcoholic beverages, together with a request for a waiver for modification of the 300-foot spacing requirement between a private club serving alcoholic beverages and a church, public or private school, child care center or hospital under Section 34b.5c of the City of Forney zoning ordinance.
