HOPPIN’ AROUND

Last Friday morning, I was reading an article in the Dallas Morning News about a substantial increase in the number of ambushes and murders of police officers during 2016. It’s a troubling trend. Although the story gives a number of possible causes of the recent wave of violence against police across the country, I want to offer my own reasons for the phenomenon, along with some of my thoughts on what may lie behind murders generally.
