The City of Forney and her residents honored veterans from our community and throughout the nation in a pre-Veterans Day program Saturday afternoon at th Mick Spellman Amphitheater. At 3:00 p. m. Nov. 5, Mark Eliot, Chaplain of the Forney Fire Department, offered an opening invocation. Opening ceremonies continued as the Forney ISD Air Force Junior ROTC Color Guard posted the Colors and as the Forney High School Choir, under the direction of Scott Surface, performed the National Anthem.
