Of powerful weapons, death — and gun control

Until now, I’ve been reluctant to weigh in on the issues related to gun control, but since the Orlando massacre, I feel I no longer have a choice but to do so. It all starts with a question many Americans may have already asked themselves: Why should anyone point a gun at someone he or she doesn’t even know and pull the trigger?
