County to apply for lake conservation structure repair grant

On Monday, the Commissioner’s Court approved applying for a grant of $500,000 to repair a lake structure formerly named Upper East Fork Lateral site #11. According to County Judge Bruce Wood, Ii the grant is approved, Kaufman County will have to pay a 5% assessment fee of $25,000.
