New county officials sworn in

County officials who were elected subject to the November, 2014 general election took the oaths of their respective offices Saturday morning in the 86th district court room in the Kaufman County courthouse in Kaufman. The ceremony began at 10:00 a. m. and took approximately an hour. Several offices required two separate oaths—one connected directly with the office itself and another to promise to only enter into contracts that are permissible under the laws of the state of Texas.
