Technology has flattened out our world, and today’s kindergartners will need appropriate skills to be successful in a social and work environment that will be very different from the social and work environments we know now. That means that education itself is going to have to change. Early this week, Forney ISD held two open-to-thepublic summit meetings in connection with the district’s recently-launched For ward Focus initiative, which is designed to engage the community in shaping Forney public education through at least 2027.
