Craig Daniel Prior
Craig Daniel Prior passed away peacefully in his Prosper home on Friday, January 1st, 2016. He was 37 years old. He was born on December 19th, 1978 in Dallas, Texas, to Connie and Andrew Prior. Educated in Forney area schools, Craig graduated to attend Baylor University, where he studied telecommunications and worked as a videographer for the Baylor Bears athletics program. He was also an active and devoted brother of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. In 2002, he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree. Those closest to Craig knew he was dedicated to being a loving husband and father. When he wasn’t enjoying time with his family or fixing things around their home (an activity for which he had great affection), Craig was a proud member of the Legends Hospitality team, where he served as a food and beverage manager. At Legends, Craig worked daily doing what he adored, a job that combined two of his great passions: exemplary service and competitive sporting events. Craig was also an ardent fan of Dallas Cowboy football, Baylor Bear football, and NASCAR. Craig is survived by his spouse, Alyson, whom he married in St. Lucia in March of 2011. Also surviving Craig are his two daughters, Chaney Joy and Cambryn Jean; his mother, Connie; his sister, Jennifer; his grandmother, Jean Couch; and multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and a niece. As all who knew Craig would confirm, he was uniquely committed to his friends and family, all of whom he loved fiercely and without judgment. In his closing act of grace, Craig willed his body for medical research to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. A celebration of Craig’s life will be held in AT&T Stadium, the home of his beloved Dallas Cowboys, on Saturday, January 23rd at 2pm in the North Club. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Prior Fight Memorial at https://dm2.gofund.me/priorfight. Proceeds will establish educational funds for each of Craig’s daughters and aid in offsetting the financial burden of Craig’s heroic battle with cancer.
