FISD tax rate will not go up this year

Forney school district trustees passed an overall tax rate of $1.54 per $100.00 in assessed taxable property valuation during their regular September meeting Monday night. The tax rate will be in force during budget year 2016-2017, which begins July 1. The rate is unchanged from what it was during budget year 2015-2016.
