James Daniel Bradshaw

James Daniel Bradshaw, 64, of Forney, Texas, formerly of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014. Born July 14, 1950 in Sweetwater, Texas; he was the son of Jack Allen Bradshaw and the late James Benjamin Cross and Ruby Pearl Tucker. Jim served in the United States Army from December 1968 to April 1972 where he was a veteran of the Vietnam War and he earned several medals including the Purple Heart. Jim met Melody Smith while working in Oklahoma and was later married in Wichita Falls, Texas on December 21, 1984. A passionately caring, devoted husband, father, son, papa and friend. Jim was a loyal, hard-working man whose life was centered on his family, friends and faith. Patient and loving, he was known for his smile, servant heart, gentleness and honesty. Jim loved to cook, fish and tinker. He truly was a Jack of all trades. His greatest joy and love were his grandchildren. Jim’s legacy continues on with his wife Melody Bradshaw; daughter Stacey Edwards and husband Brent; son Jimmy Crabb and wife Tammy; daughter Mindy Kral and husband Bradley; daughter Dene’ Jones and husband Bryan; and daughter Gayla Bradshaw; 9 grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father James (JB) Cross; mother Ruby Bradshaw; and brother Charles Bradshaw. A memorial service will be held at Berean Baptist Church on Saturday, December 27, 2014 in Sunnyvale, Texas at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society or Disabled American Veterans Charity.
