Talk to the Animals

I always end up with mouthy beasts. They’re forever trying to interact with me, get my attention, “talk” to me. Even little Miss Shadow, who said nary a peep for months after we brought her home, has become a regular motor mouth. When I complained about this to my husband, he replied, “Of course she talks to you. You talk to her.” A light bulb went off in my head, glaring with the painful realization that he was absolutely right. I DO talk to the animals.
