Stranger Than Most

As I’ve said many times, just because I’m a counselor doesn’t mean I don’t have the same challenges as anyone else. I try to practice my own advice and that usually works. But not always. Case in point: I’ve allowed my year-and-a-half breast cancer odyssey to cut me off from most of the social activities I once enjoyed. The first to go was the choir. What with a chemo treatment every four weeks, I just didn’t have the energy to participate.
