Last week’s article had a photo of me in a Little League baseball uniform. The date was 1963, and at that time, all boys of that level received a flannel uniform, provided by the Forney Lions Club. At the end of the season, the uniforms were stored by the Lions Club for use by the next year’s players. This was one way costs for players’ families were kept to a minimum.
