Jesus Christ came to earth to pay the sin debt for all mankind. When that was done, He returned to Heaven. WHAT DID HE LEAVE BEHIND WHEN HE LEFT? He left an example of a lifestyle that was unknown before He came. He fulfilled the law and raised it to a higher level in that He said no more eye for an eye or tooth for a tooth.
