There is a tree of life, and a tree of death. Both trees were planted in the Garden of Eden. GOD told Adam that he could eat from any tree in the garden except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (the tree of death). GOD told Adam and Eve that the day they ate from this tree, they would surely die.
