The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah

The Lord and two angels came to the tent of Abraham with the purpose of destroying Sodom and Gomorrah. Their sin had reached the point of no remedy. GOD was justified and merciful in doing so because if He let them continue, they would have had many children with no hope of escaping the fire of hell. We must remember, GOD does not think like we do because He can see the big, or total picture. After the Lord and the angels had a meal with Abraham the two angels went on toward Sodom and the Lord stayed a little while longer with Abraham. Here we see that Abraham believed and trusted GOD and it was counted as righteousness, so the Lord decided to tell Abraham what He was about do.
