Last Sunday afternoon I had to consult a channel guide provided by our TV cable company to find out whether or not our cable plan included TBS and, if so, what channel broadcast that station through our provider. The task wasn’t particularly difficult, but it made me wish someone would invent a new kind of TV remote that could find channels by their call letters as well as by channel number.
