Rama J. Isbell, age 81, of Forney, Texas passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015, in Sunnyvale, Texas. Ser vices will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra. Rama was born January 11, 1934 to the late Cecil Thurman Isbell and Mary Gertrude “Mabel” Reis Isbell in Electra and graduated from Electra High School. Rama and Virginia Miller were married February 20, 1976 in Electra. He was a farmer for many years and then was an electrician. Rama was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Electra. He was a Master Mason, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and a Maskat Shriner. He enjoyed fishing and doing jigsaw puzzles. Sur vivors include his wife, Virginia of Forney, Texas; three daughters, Laura Ann Talley of Rogers, Arkansas, Judith Gail Isbell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Catherine Michele Tietz and husband, Vance of Forney, Texas; three sons, John Christopher Isbell of Tennessee, Ivan Bruse Isbell and wife, Jacoba of Granbury, Texas and John Mark Green and wife, Mar y Ellen of Midland, Texas; seven brothers and sisters; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Rama was preceded in death by one daughter, Lois Elaine York, one grandson, Chaz J. Gilbert; and one great-granddaughter, Sana Werqueyah.
